During the Conference there will be an Exhibition of latest technologies, equipment and other devices for the aluminium industry. Companies can give a presentation at the Exhibition.
Registration and Welcome Reception
The registration will start on Saturday, 28 November in the evening and will continue on Sunday 29 November in the morning at the Welcome Desk.
Welcome Reception with drinks will take place on Saturday 28 November in the Evening.
Lunches and Dinners
In the tradition of ICSOBA lunches and dinners during the Conference are included in the program in order for you to have maximum opportunity to meet other delegates at no additional charge. Lunches will be offered on 29, 30 November and 1 December. Dinners will be offered on 29 and 30 November.
Papers and presentations
Language for papers and presentations is English. Papers will be published in ICSOBA proceedings. Authors have the option to have their papers published by China Academic Journals Electronic Publishing House against a Network Database Retrieval Card. Delegates will receive all papers and presentations as pdf on CD or memory stick.
Technical field trips on November 29
The ICSOBA-2015 program provides for visiting the following EGA smelters:
DUBAL Smelter (Dubai)
Commissioned at the end of 1979. After sequential expansions with advanced technologies, the smelter has 1573 reduction cells in seven potlines, producing more than 1 Mtpa of primary aluminium, casting operations with capacity > 1 Mtpa, 2350 MW power station, 50 million m³/year desalination plant and port facilities.
EMAL Smelter (Abu Dhabi)
EMAL was commissioned at the end of 2010 (Phase I) and in mid-2014 (Phase II). The smelter has 1200 reduction cells in three potlines, producing more than 1.35 Mtpa of primary aluminium, casting operations with capacity > 1.6 Mtpa, 3100 MW power station, 6 million m³/year desalination plant and port facilities.
Only 30 first registrants for the visit will be fully equipped with PPE and will have a walking visit of EMAL Potline 3 and EMAL Phase 2 Carbon Plant. The other registrants will have a guided tour by bus of both smelters.
