ICSOBA

ICSOBA is a well-recognized international non-for-profit association of members with the vision of being the “Technology Conference of the Aluminium Industry, for the Aluminium Industry”.

ICSOBA is also a proponent of academic participation in its annual conference, with a particular emphasis on the involvement of students and young researchers in the early stages of their careers. This is made possible by our esteemed Academic Committee, comprised of leading scientists from various academic institutions, who conduct research on the primary aluminium production process, from Bauxite to Ingot.

The Academic Committee is responsible for a range of activities, including participation in two meetings per year, acting as ICSOBA ambassadors in their respective universities, encouraging students and colleagues to present their research to the aluminium community at ICSOBA's annual event, discussing the criteria and evaluation process for the Student Travel Awards (STA) and Best Paper Awards (BPA), participating in the Student Evening during the conference, suggesting thematic topics for special symposiums or sessions, and serving as session chairs for these symposiums, if they choose to participate in the conference.
